AL MAJAZ WATERFRONT
No stranger to any Sharjah resident, Al Majaz Waterfront is one of the most attractive parts of the city. Recently renovated, the site includes a 750 metre jogging track around the waterfront, which is made out of 6,000 recycled tyres. The track is surrounded by trees and plenty of open space.
Sharjah Waterfront Path
Announced by Sharjah Urban Planning Council, the project will see 27 kilometres of cycling and jogging tracks rolled out along the city’s coast, connecting Ajman to Dubai. The first 5.5 kilometres of the plan is currently being built adjacent to Al Khan Lagoon.
Sharjah Wanderers Sports Club
A home away from home since 1977 for many within Sharjah’s vibrant expat community, Sharjah Wanderers Sports Club offers plenty of activity options for members and visitors. Included at the club located near Al Qassimi Hospital are full-size grass pitches
Sharjah National Park
Based next to the Children’s Museum and just opposite Sharjah International Airport, Sharjah National Park is the Emirate’s largest, covering almost 630,000 square feet of area. While most visitors tend to use the park to relax and share picnics and barbecues, there is also a running track and other sporting facilities.
